AFL tickets provide fans chances to see the biggest stars, Grand Finals winners

It’s hard to argue against the major success that Australian rules football has achieved. Each year, many more fans are purchasing AFL tickets, so they can watch their favourite clubs compete for the ultimate prize. The premiership is what it’s all about and along the way, fans get to see some great matchups on the field. In addition, fans are getting to see veterans and emerging stars with the AFL tickets that they buy.

With AFL tickets, fans become involved in a rich history with some teams established many years ago and others that are much newer to the league. Among the clubs with a deep history are Collingwood, Melbourne, St Kilda, and Geelong. These football clubs have been around for well over a century. Meanwhile, newer clubs that have entered the AFL have included the Gold Coast Suns (2011), and the Greater Western Sydney Giants (2012). These two clubs have given the league a total of 18 clubs for fans to watch.

Each year, the AFL tickets provide fans the ability to watch matchups which help determine the top eight teams. Those teams end up competing over the main prize in Australian rules football: the premiership. The Grand Finals are the big matchup in which that title is handed out. Over the past decade, six different teams have won the title, showing that fans never quite know which team will rise to the top.

In the past three years, three different clubs have won the Grand Finals. In 2017, Richmond defeated Adelaide to capture the premiership. The year prior saw the Western Bulldogs take down Sydney. In 2015, it was Hawthorn trouncing the West Coast Eagles for the title. In fact, that was the third-straight premiership for the Hawthorn club.

The top players in the league

Australian football fans have been entertained by some highly-skilled players over the years. Over the past few years, Josh J. Kennedy and Lance Franklin have amazed fans with their ability to deliver goals when they count the most. Those two have been the top two in the total goals scored category for 2016 and 2017. That makes Sydney Swans and West Coast Eagles’ AFL tickets among those that many fans are trying to purchase.

In 2017, Rory Sloane of Adelaide Crows was the league’s top tackler that fans were able to watch. Port Adelaide’s Brad Ebert and St Kilda’s Jack Steele were also in the top five for total tackles, but many other players provided great defensive performances on the field.

There are always newer, younger stars entering the AFL. In addition to the new players, fans are also getting to see Hall of Fame worthy players on the field each year. Fans are getting to witness AFL star Lance Franklin as he continues his amazing career. After spending eight years with Hawthorn, Franklin has now been a member of Sydney for the past four years. Franklin is ninth all-time in goals scored and continues to move up the list with more goals added to his total. With AFL tickets, fans will get to watch this future Hall of Famer in action.
